All members of the Indiana University community are encouraged to exercise their right to vote. 

Key dates for the 2026 election cycle in Indiana are:

Primary election

  • Monday, April 6 - Voter registration deadline
  • Tuesday, April 7 - Early voting starts
  • Thursday, April 23 - Last date to request an absentee ballot
  • Tuesday, May 5 - Primary election day

General election

  • Monday, October 5 - Voter registration deadline
  • Tuesday, October 6 - Early voting starts
  • Thursday, October 22 - Last day to request an absentee ballot
  • Tuesday, November 3 - General election day

  2. The address where they live while not attending school
